Steve enjoys walking in all areas of Scotland, England and Wales. There are some beautiful landscapes and buildings, and he likes discovering and sketching them. The time spent drawing ensures he becomes more aware of the surrounding atmosphere.
Back in the studio and the drawings are developed into watercolour paintings. The memories of the day return and mix with the reference material to help produce the works.
He uses only the best artist quality materials, combined with the traditional British Watercolour technique to ensure transparency in the pictures.
A self taught artist he has been painting and drawing for over twenty years. His paintings have been shown at exhibitions at the Mall Galleries and at the Banqueting Hall in London, also in Edinburgh, York, Blackpool, Cardiff and in France. He was selected to show at the "7emes Rencontres Intemationalea d'Art Contemporain" held at the Chateau de Saint Brisson sur Loire.
His work is in private collections in a number of countries including Italy, Germany, North and South America, and Ireland.

Editors comment: Steve paints beautiful clean paintings and he also has a natural eye for perspective, by that I mean the image on the left is of a huge broad landscape and it looks right, colour and tonal perspective is not easy. A great display awaits you.
