This part of the River Thames is now a quiet backwater, once busy with barges visiting the flour mill and the metal yard, the area has now been totally changed, but there is still a busy boat repair yard on the island.
The quiet view along to Old Isleworth can now be enjoyed from the terrace of the Town Wharf pub.
